Junior Eurovision: Sophie to represent Malta

Sophie Debattista aged 12 has won the right to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision 2006 with her pop-rock song, Extra cute. Sophie took part in the past Maltese selections for the Junior Eurovision but this was the first time she sang as a soloist.

Sophie Debattista is also a member of the Young Talent Team, who represented Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 with Power of a song.

Sophie Debattista will represent Malta in Bucharest Romania, on the 2nd December.

Guess Who placed 2nd with their rock 'n' roll tune, appropriately entitled Save rock 'n' roll, while Kylie Coleiro placed 3rd with her pop-rock tune, Everywhere I go.
