Brian Kennedy, fresh from representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens, will present a brand new half-hour 10-week summer entertainment show, �1 To Remember with Brian Kennedy�, full of number one hits from the Irish charts through the years. The series will be broadcast on Sunday nights at 21.30 (CET) on RTÉ One from 23rd July 2006.

Members of the public will decide just which number one hits Brian – and his guests – will be singing. Members of the public voted in May for their favourite number one hits for each of the ten shows. A selection of the top songs, as voted by members of the public, will then be performed on ‘1 to Remember with Brian Kennedy.’

The summer series will culminate in a Grand Finale in which the 10 most popular Irish Number One Hits from the entire series – voted upon by the public each week – will be sung in this one hour special.

Brian Kennedy talked of his excitement about the new series. "It's been a hugely busy, exciting and nerve-wracking time throughout the lead-up and performances for the Eurovision Song Contest. I'm delighted with how I performed for the country – and for myself – and I'm very much looking forward to the new series. I'm hoping that the Irish public will come out in their droves to vote for their favourite No 1s. After all, they couldn't vote for me in the Eurovision Song Contest– but I'm begging them, vote for my songs now – give me the really good ones to sing!"
