Israeli rising star Shiri Maimon, who brought a highly celebrated fourth place to Israel at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, has received rave reviews of her performance in the musical Halehaka (The Troupe) at the Habima Theatre.

In Halehaka, Shiri plays a member of a military musical troupe with a mischievous streak. By most reports, she gives a touching performance, and has been a magnet for accolades from media critics. "Simply a discovery", reports the Official Army Radio Station about her talent, while leading newspaper Yedioth aharonot continues that she "captures the heart with her marvellous singing." The praise heaped upon the young singer is an indicator of the popular status she has received since achieving song contest success for Israel in Kyiv.
