eljko Joksimović, the composer of the third placed Bosnia and Herzegovina entry Lejla has received the journalists' award for the best composition of the 2006 Eurovision song contest.
Although delighted at receiving his award, eljko told Republika that he didn't understand how Finland could have won. The 2004 contest runner-up said: "I'm sorry, but I just don't understand it." Despite the fact that he only turned 34 on 20th April, he said that "perhaps I am a little too old for such things. I think that this time music has lost its aesthetic quality. I am satisfied with our brilliant placing – bronze, however I am sorry that yet again I didn't manage to be first. I don't think I shall be entering the Eurovision song contest again in the near future, either as a singer or as a composer." eljko added that he would be concentrating on his career from now on, particularly abroad.
