Ruslana's winning song Wild dances was voted as the best Eurovision song ever by German public.
Just before this year's Eurovision in Athens, Germany's first TV channel ARD broadcasted a chart show presenting the results of an internet poll: the top 20 of the best Eurovision songs ever. Internet users and readers of themagazine TV digital could choose between the winning song and the German entry of each year – a total of 103 songs.
Wild dances was presented as number 1 in the TV show Grand Prix Hitliste, leaving behind Eurovision classicssuch as Waterloo(6th) and Germany's only winnerEin bißchen Frieden (12th). The showwas viewed by a TV audience of six million people.
