“I want to say congratulations to the organisers”, Romanian 2006 representative Mihai Traistariu stated in his press conference. “Not just for the rehearsals but for the party last night. I thought it was great and we had a really good time. So well done”, he said. Mihai represents Romania with Tornero, an energetic song both in audio as well as live on stage.
"I’m obsessed with winning the Eurovision Song Contest and getting an international hit. That' s why the contest is so popular: Anna Vissi is in it for the third time, so is Carola from Sweden. Fabrizio from Malta and Israel's Eddie Butler are in it for the second time. Ruslana and Helena Paparizou have shown that a winning song can become an international hit", he said on his press conference.
"I’ve been playing the piano since I was seven", he says. "My mother was a singer and my dad was a painter so they wanted us all to be artistic. We’re four brothers and we all can play instruments but I’m the only one who chose a career in music".
After the rehearsal, earlier today, Mihai revealed that he has several rituals before his performance, as well as in general. One of them, as with many people, is a problem with 13. "Guess what, my dressing room number is… 13", he said. "But I changed it in 1-3", he laughed.
