Over four hundred Maltese nationals are anticipated in Athens over the next few days, as Fabrizio and the rest of the Maltese delegation begin their preparations in readiness for the finalist rehearsals, which begin on Monday.

Fabrizio is already in Greece, but hundreds of fans have already had the chance to cheer him on atthe now traditionalfarewell event in Bay Street, St. George's Bay, Malta. The event helped to raise vital funds for the British charity The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Fabrizio made a star-studded entrance to the Bay Street Rotunda, whereupon he was indundated with fan requests for autographs. The Maltese star thanked everyone for the warm farewell before leaving them with a live rendition of his Eurovision Song Contest entry I do.

In true star style, he also left his handprint in the floor of Bay Street Complex's Celebrity Street. Hopes are riding high that he can make it to even greater international celebrity status through his appearance at the contest, supported by hundreds of dedicated fans in Athens!
