Greece and the Eurovision Song Contest
Greece joined the Eurovision Song Contest family in 1974 when Marinella sang the country to a debut 11th place in Brighton. Since then, Greece's participations have been a good mix of hits and misses, with several top ten placings along the way. It was not until 2001 that Greece managed to break into the top three with Antique's Die for you, which was one of the favourites in Copenhagen that year. Lead singer Helena Paparizou, based in Sweden but singing for Greece, returned to sing solo for the country in 2005, finally bringing the trophy home to Athens.

This year, just as in 2005, ERT opted to showcase a single performer in its selection process. Just as Helena presented all the competing songs for the Kyiv contest, Anna Vissi was chosen to perform four entries in the selection show entitled Feel the party. Everything was the overwhelming winner of that show.

Anna Vissi
Born in Cyprus, Anna Vissi started her musical education at a very early age, and her family soon moved to Greece where there was more opportunity for the young Anna to shine. Over the course of four decades she has become a true superstar in Greece and beyond, performing across the world in sell-out tours from London to New York.

Early in her career she began a working relationship with composer Nikos Karvelas, a partnership that has continued to this day and also resulted in this year's Greek entry Everything. It is by no means Anna's first time at the Eurovision Song Contest – in 1980 she represented Greece in The Hague with Autostop, and in 1982 was placed fifth for her native Cyprus in Harrogate – to date still the joint highest placing the island republic has ever achieved. At the time, Anna still used herlast nameVishy, which she now changed to Vissi.

Everything
I can hear my heart breaking
As I open the door
I can feel the tears
On my face burn like fire
As I look in your eyes
And I know
I'm still in love with…

Everything I hate
Everything you do
Everything I fear
Everything on you

I can feel my life ending
As a whisper goodbye
And I know
I'm still in love with…

Everything I hate
Everything you do
Everything I fear
Everything on you

I can’t believe I still need you
I can’t believe I still want you
I can’t believe life means
Nothing without you
Baby I'm still in love with…

Everything I hate
Everything you do
Everything I fear
Everything on you

I’m in love with…

Everything you are
