On 3rd May 1986, today exactly 20 years ago, a young girl from Liège saw for what may be the highlight of the Belgian music history. Although she sang she was 15, Sandra Kim was aged 13 years and 6 months only when she offered Belgium the first Eurovision Song Contest victory with the song J'aime la vie.

In the Grieghallen in the Norwegian city of Bergen, Sandra Kim kept her 19 competitors at a distance. Aged 13, she became the Eurovision Song Contest's youngest winner ever.

Starting today, Belgovision.com and their partner site 12points.be will be looking back at this historical moment: the 20th anniversary of Belgium's first – and so far only – Eurovision Song Contest victory. In the upcoming days, several stories and video reports can be found on their websites, starting with a video interview with Sandra.
