To celebrate 44 years of career, RTBF organised a party for Pierre Meyer, 'Mr. Eurovision' of the French language broadcaster of Belgium. With a respectable career to look back at, the man will now retire. Leslie Cable replaces him.

Meyer was involved with the Eurovision Song Contest since 1979 and under his supervision, RTBF won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 with Sandra Kim and reached a second place in 2003, with Urban Trad. The 1986 winner even attended the party, just like former Eurovision Song Contest commentators Jacques Mercier and Claude Delacroix and RTBF's current commentator Jean-Pierre Hautier.
