The Netherlands and the Eurovision Song Contest
31 years after a last Dutch victory, broadcaster NOS seems to be more eager than ever for a fifth victory. To accomplish this, NOS reshaped the national selection into a three-way mini-concert. Three artists performed three songs during the final. A jury picked the best song of each entrant. After a so-called 'super-final', the televoters picked Treble to represent the low lands in Athens.
Treble
The group Treble comprises Caroline Hoffman (29) and sisters Niña (19) and Djem (17) van Dijk. In 2004, they had number one hit single with Ramaganana. The girls are experienced percussionists and vocalists. After three singles and an album, 2005 was a silent Treble-year. After their victory in the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival, Treble started a tour to all 37 participating countries. Currently, they are on the second part of their tour already.
