Sibel Tüzün, who is representing Turkey in this year's 51st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest has scored a first by being the first Turkish representative to visit Cyprus as part of her promotour.

Accepting an official offer made by the Cypriot organising committee, Sibel Tüzün travelled to Nicosia on the 11th April to appear as guest on the show In the Terrace.

Followed by the kind and intense interest Sibel Tüzün enjoyed that day, she was honoured almost as an ambassador of art at a banquet held in her honour, where she was able make contacts regarding issues such as music, art, Eurovision Song Contest and friendship.

At this leg of the promotion tour there were no free moments. Spending the night at the Hilton Hotel on the 12th of April, Wednesday Sibel Tüzün was whisked off to appear as a guest on CyBC1 broadcast Seven to Ten. She was asked several questions about her career and her entry Superstar. Following on from there she also appeared on the popular show BIZ/.

Sibel scoring a first as being the first Eurovision Song Contest representative from Turkey to visit Cyprus also proved that art cannot be restricted by artificial political boundaries and that art and friendship are very important indeed. Having returned to Istanbul on the 12th of April, Sibel will continue with her promotional tour. Her next stop is Spain.
