Opening of the Press Centre

Tomorrow, the Press Centre of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest will open its doors to the accreditated journalists, delegations and fans at 8.00 Athens time. The fully equipped Press Centre was installed in the southern part of the venue (Olympic Indoor Arena / OAKA complex). It goes without saying that your esctoday team will be present at this Press Centre.

The 500 square metre Press Centre and a 100 square metre room for press conferences will accomodate 1500 journalists. There will be 500 desks with at least 300 computers with Internet access and modem points for laptop connection will also be available.

Throughout the following days, esctoday will be covering the reaharsals, press conferences and parties of this 2006 Eurovision Song Contest as well as will be having interviews with some of the performers.

Notwithstanding, esctoday also wants you to know what is behind the scenes of the 2 live shows of 18th and 20th May for the semi final and final, respectively. Thus, we will know people who are involved, in a way or another, with this event such as journalists, composers, authors, heads of delegations, volunteers, organisation staff and fans.

Therefore, we hope to provide several articles for the next days with enough subject variety in order to give you a more accurate idea on what is going on in Athens. Your feedback is always welcome so as we can improve our work and meet our visitors' expectations.

Enjoy esctoday as much as we enjoy doing it for you!!!
