According to the Portuguese website correiomanha, Jorge Gabriel is going to host the Portuguese national final to select the song to represent Portugal at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest.

Jorge Gabriel is one of the most popular TV hosts among Portuguese viewers. Jorge has hosted the popular morning programme Praça da Alegria and presented several TV game shows like Quem Quer Ser Milionário and O Cofre.

The portuguese national final Festival da Canção 2006 is going to take place at Lisbon Congress Centre on 10th March at 9:30 pm (10:30 pm CET).
