No winner in Moldova!

Imagine three participants ending up with the same amount of points after a voting… while most countries have rules to deal with in such a scenario, the Modovan national final ends without result! An internal commission will most likely decide if Burlacu Geta, Serj Kuzencoff or Moldstar will represent Moldova at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest.

Burlacu Geta, Serj Kuzencoff and Moldstar share a first place after televoters and a jury (50/50) gave their points. When Moldova's participant for the 51st Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen is yet unknown.

Our colleagues from DotEurovision.com add: “Rumours suggest that the broadcaster is in talks with another act that it hopes to send to Athens. This suggests that the national final result will be discarded and ultimately the choice for the 2006 performer and song will be made internally. TRM did place provision for this in the rules of their preselection, reserving the right to substitute their own performer and song, if they felt the overall standard was not good enough for the Eurovision Song Contest”.

Thanks to Zdob si Zdub's excellent result in Kyiv, Moldova takes part in the final of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, on 20th May in Athens.
