The band Edict has been disqualified from taking part in Romania's first semifinal that will be held on 24th February.
Their song Vine Badea was played by Moldovan radio in 2003. They also unsuccessfully entered the song into the Moldovan national final last year.
In Romania's first semifinal there will be ten competing songs and in the second semifinal eleven songs will compete.
From each semifinal, six songs will qualify to take part in the Romanian final, scheduled to take place on 26th February. Due to Luminita & Sistem's excellent result in Kyiv, Romania takes part directly in the final of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest
