According to our Athens 2006 partner Oikotimes.com, Anna Vissi's song for the 51st Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed on 8th March. So far, it seems that televoters and a jury will pick the right song for the Greek diva. “Most likely an up-tempo composition”, she revealed at a press conference earlier today.

The show will be presented by Zeta Makripoulia and Yorgos Kapoutzide and is scheduled to take place at the Votanikos Music Hall, which is located in Iera Odos (Athens).

Nana Mouskouri will most likely be involved with the show as head of the jury. The outcome of the voting will be decided by the jury (40%) and by the viewers (60%) through televoting and SMS. Next week, ERT will announce the names of the composers for the Greek selection.

Meanwhile, Anna Vissi said that she is “not taking part to win”, as it is hard to win two times in a row. However, the Greeks seem to be eager to organise one of the most exciting Eurovision Song Contests ever and it is not unlikely the televoter will reward Greece with some extra points, as it often happened in the history of the contest.
