In an exclusive interview with Eurovision Song Contest Supervisor Svante Stockselius, he explains his aims for the future of the contest and he reveals his most memorable crisis!
Esctoday.com: How does the commercialization of the Eurovision Song Contest fits into the key aims of public broadcasters, which are generally non-commercial, and where do you draw the line?
Svante Stockselius: All contracts are made with respect to the existing rules and regulations for our participating members. The television broadcast as such is always free of commercial elements. However, the event is to be considered as any big event, like the World Cup in football, and is made in cooperation with selected commercial partners.
