Norwegian broadcaster NRK has published full versions of the songs for the first semifinal on its website today.

Fans can log onto the site at http://www.nrk.no/programmer/tv/melodi_grand_prix/ and click the link labelled MGP i Nett-TV to listen to the songs. New visitors to the site may have to sign up for a free NRK Nett-TV account.

Mid-tempo pop is the order of the day for the first semifinal, with Geir Rønning and Jorun Erdal, and Arlene Wilkes current favourites to make it through to the Norwegian final. Everything is still to play for, however, and viewers will have their work cut out to pick the two most promising entries from tonight's lineup.

All is not lost for the ones that do not make it this evening. NRK has a second-chance selection planned in the style of neighbouring Sweden's Eurovision Song Contest selections, and the third and fourth placed songs from each of the three semifinals will have another opportunity to make the final eight for the final.
