The 2006 Eurovision Song Contest will be produced by the German Procon Group Multimedia AG, of course under supervision of Greek host broadcaster ERT and the European Broadcasting Union. Procon was also involved with the organisation of the 2004 Olympics and the 50th anniversary show Congratulations, which took place in Copenhagen last year.
Procon is a full service provider for the media, entertainment and event industry. The areas of event engineering and film lighting and camera technology are represented internationally through a network of subsidiaries, branch offices and cooperation partners. Extensive consulting and support as well as technical equipment renting are also part of the service portfolio. The equipment pool consists of lighting, sound, stage, video, camera and broadcast engineering. In addition, staffing services and individual studios are available.
Other projects Procon was involved with are the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest, the Welcome Europe event in Malta on 1st May 2004 and the popular real-life programme Big Brother.
