Swedish broadcaster SVT revealed the stage design for Melodifestivalen 2006, the selection for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The design of the stage, 33 meters wide and 7,5 meters high, was inspired by U2.
The stage was designed by Mikael Varhelyi, who also designed the stage of the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest.
It takes the effort of 70 people to build up the gigantic stage, which mostly exists of the latest video technology. A large image of the stage can be seen here
