Anabel Debono in Maltese selection after all

by Sietse Bakker 75 views

Maltese singer Anabel Debono will participate in the Maltese selection for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest after all. Not with Afraid, the song written by Marc Paelinck which didn't survive the selections, but with Amazing. The song is written by Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg.

Three Maltese composers had to look out for another singer for their selected entry since the initial performer had been selected with a second song that was rated higher by the professional jury during the internal qualification round for Malta Song for Europe 2006. Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg, who had written the song Amazing for Nadine Axisa, found a new performer in Anabel Debono.

By tomorrow, the two other composers have to decide what they are going to do with their double selections.
