The Israeli news paper Yediot Ahronot reports today that the actor and singer, Avi Greinik, who was announced last week as participant in the upcoming Kdam-Eurovision, withdrew from the contest.

Just last week Israeli broadcaster IBA published the shortlist of participants in the upcoming Kdam-Eurovision, the national Eurovision final. Now it seems that nothing is determined yet. The actor and singer Avi Greinik (pictured), who was mentioned by IBA as a participant, told Yediot Ahronot he was merely interested in the song contest and has never agreed to actually take part in it. 'My musical path is quite different from Eurovision', said Greinik. IBA claims to have chosen three substitue artists, for these matters, and they are Zvika Pick, Hadar Ozeri and Tzipi Mash'hid. One of them is expected to take Greinik's place.

This comes after the biggest star of this year's Kdam-Eurovision, Maya Buskila, declared last week that she is also not convinced she will take part eventually. Her management declared they will enter the contest only with a suitable song, able to win the Eurovision Song Contest itself. 'We will not settle only for a Kdam-Eurovision participation', they were quoted.
