The Dutch public broadcaster NOS, responsible for Eurovision Song Contest related issues, has a new logo, new leaders, new stages and a new policy on the use of its name. Dutch public television exists of more than 20 public broadcasting organisations, to make clear which programmes are NOS productions, all their programmes will contain the word 'NOS'.
If this basically means the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival will be renamed into NOS Nationaal Songfestival is unknown, but likely according to this new policy.
The new logo consists of a grey N, a red O and a grey S. “Simple and stylish, where the red O stands for objectivity”, NOS said in a press release. The new visual identity was created by UK-based company Lambie-Nairn, the company that created the BBC visual identity as well. Board member Jan de Jong believes the new logo is “young, fresh, dynamic and modern”. Earlier this year, NOS sticked these keywords to the new format of its national Eurovision Song Contest selection.
