Spanish public broadcaster TVE announced it accepts song for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest national selection. Songs can be submitted until 31st January.

Lyrics of the song have to be in one of Spain's official languages. Participants have to be Spanish residents for at least two year or need to have a Spanish passport. It's unknown if songwriters and composers have to apply to this rule as well.

Dates for the Spanish 2006 national selection are unknown.
