Xandee, who represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 with 1 life, was about to take part in this year's Belgian national selection. Less than a day before the announcement of the participants, last Tuesday, she had to withdraw.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, it appeared Xandee's song was already released in Japan. The rules of the competition state a song should not be published or released before the selection for Eurosong 2006. Less than 12 hours before the announcement of the selection, Xandee and her team decided to withdraw.

In 2004, Xandee was one of the favorites of the Eurovision Song Contest. However, she came 22nd in the final with only 7 points.
