Ovi Martin first Norwegian finalist

Ovi Martin is the first known name for the Norwegian selection for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. He will sing Better side. Martin announced that on his website.

Broadcaster NRK has chosen 18 songs for Melodi Grand Prix 2006, six songs will compete in three semifinals. The best two songs of each semifinal will go to the final. The songs that end in third and fourth place from each of the first three shows will go through to the second-chance semifinal.

� 20th January 2006 – Bodø
� 27th January 2006 – Bergen
� 3rd February 2006 – Oslo
� 4th February 2006 – Oslo

Thanks to WigWam's successful performance in Kyiv, Norway directly qualified for the final of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest.
