Farid Mammadov, this year’s Eurovision representative from Azerbaijan, has just launched his very own iPhone and Android Eurovision artist app.  This is a completely new innovation, as no other Eurovision performer has had their own app prior to the contest.

The app provides a perfect way for fans to follow each and every exciting step of Farid’s journey to Malmö on smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, based on IOS and Android systems. Best of all, the app can be downloaded completely free of charge on App Store, Android Market and Google Play store.

The app is specially designed to let Farid get closer to his fans and share all the thrills of his Eurovision adventure. It offers the latest news, videos and exclusive pictures capturing backstage footage of Farid. Users will be able to register their Facebook and Twitter accounts to share all their views and comments live with other fans and share information with Farid.  The app will not only contain Farid’s Eurovision song Hold me, it will also include free access to the remix version of the song plus exclusive video materials.

The conception of this new app captures the essence of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest theme – We are one. Essentially it allows Farid to keep in touch with all of his fans, whilst giving the opportunity for them to communicate with one another and even form their own communities.

Speaking of the new innovation Farid said, I hope my fans will have lots of fun using it. For me it will be a great way to keep in touch and get feedback from my fans whenever I’m on my mobile phone or a tablet. I love the idea of creating a new community amongst my fans, where new friendships can be made.
