BNT has informed esctoday.com that the 2013 Bulgarian Eurovision representative Elitsa is in Athens promoting the Bulgarian Eurovision entry.
Elitsa Todorova, who will represent Bulgaria at Eurovision 2013 together with Stoyan Yankulov, is in the Greek capital Athens today. This is part of her promo tour in Greece. The singer has been invited to visit the Greece by the Greek national television ERT along with with the support of one the biggest Eurovision fan clubs in Europe ,OGAE Greece. A team of BNT reporters is accompanying Elitsa throughout ner visit to Greece in order to give it full extensive coverage
OGAE Greece is one of the most active fan clubs in Greece and the members are helping to organize promotional tours of many Eurovision artists. The fans in Athens have organized a special party for Elitsa tonight in one of the most popular local clubs.
Elitsa’s program in Greece is very strict. The Bulgarian artist will visit several Greek television shows and will be giving an interview for one of the most viewed television shows in Greece. Elitsa will be also meeting the 2013 Greek Eurovision representatives Koza Mostra. Private Greeek television channel Star has already interviewed Elitsa at the airport when she arrived in Athens. Greece awarded 12 points to Bulgara at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest.
Elitsa and Stoyan were selected via an internal selection to represent Bulgaria at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. They will represent Bulgaria with Samo Shampioni.
Bulgaria will perform on the Eurovision second semi-final on May 16, 2013. The big finale is on May 18.
Bulgaria debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and is yet to win the event. The country’s best placing was in 2007 with Elitsa and Stoyan’s Voda in Helsinki, which achieved an honourable 5th placing.
