Anabela on 'A Canção de Lisboa' musical

According to the Portuguese edition of Metro, Anabela, who represented Portugal at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet, Ireland, is going to play the main role of A Canção de Lisboa (The Lisbon Song) – a musical produced by Filipe La Féria.

Filipe La Féria has worked as a producer of many musicals in Lisbon throughout the years. Among them, we can mention Amália, Passa por mim no Rossio, Maldita Cocaína, and also adapted foreign musicals to the Portuguese version such as My fair lady.

It was precisely My fair lady musical that gave Anabela the opportunity to perform the leading role as she will be doing now at the most recent production of La Féria –'A Canção de Lisboa.

Several Portuguese Eurovision Song Contest performers have performed at La Féria's musicals such as Simone de Oliveira (1965 and 1969) and Adelaide Ferreira (1985).

Meanwhile, Anabela keeps presenting herself as a singer and an actress who is preparing to release a CD album, which is going to be called Aether. Anabela finished 10th with 60 points at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest.
