The 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö is getting closer, and today some first plans for the stage have been revealed on the official Eurovision site of EBU

Here are three renditions of the stage presented today by Swedish Television, the host broadcaster of  2013:

The scene designers Viktor Brattström and Frida Arvidsson tell svt.se about their ideas behind the plans. We have studied butterfly wings and moths with slow shutter speed as well as modern architecture and haute couture, they say.

The idea is to bring the audience closer to the stage, while still leaving room for stage projections. There will be few moving parts to connect the stage and the audience, but mostly a traditional solid set design is the principle idea behind ours, says Frida.
