The Lithuanian participant B'Avarija has been disqualified today. The song 'We all' already appeared on their 2001 album, which is not permitted.

Today in Tallinn, the European Broadcasting Union decided to disqualifie the entry after they heard 'We all' and the song 'Mes cia' at the B'Avarija album. The EBU asked the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT to submit another song. Their deadline is March 28.

Christine Marchal, Eurovision Song Contest coordinator at the EBU, said that she “hopes to see Lithuania on the Eurovision Song Contest this year”.

For weeks rumours were going around on the web. Fans noticed that 'Mes cia' already appeared in the Lithuanian charts last year and that the album with the song was released in 2001.

The EBU contacted the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT, but they denied that the song was released commercially. After a number of fans contacted the EBU about the issue, LRT was asked to investigate the case.
