Goran Karan, who represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000, has won Pjesma ljeta, a contest part of the Sunčane Skale 2005 summer festival. With his song Ru�o moja bila Goran Karan defeated several other former Eurovision Song Contest participants.
A total of 26 songs participated in last night's Pjesma ljeta. In a close run Goran Karan defeated Tony Cetinski, who finished second, with a difference of only 5 points. Goran Karan represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000. With the song Kada zaspu andeli he finished 9th in Stockholm. Tony Cetinski reached the 16th place for Croatia in 1994 with Nek'ti bude ljubav sva.
The Sunčane Skale festival, taking place in Herceg Novom, Serbia & Montenegro, is a unique opportunity for artists to present their newest songs. Several other former Eurovision Song Contest representatives took part in Pjesma ljeta. Among them Karolina (FYR Macedonia 2002), Danijela (Croatia 1995 and 1998) and Feminnem (Bosnia & Herzegovina 2005).
