The disco ball that saw for a spectacular opening of the Melodifestivalen 2005 act by Swedish pop group Alcazar is for sale. With the song Alcastar Alcazar finished third in this year's Swedish national final.
Alcazar's disco ball has a diameter of approximately 4 meters. It is just a fourth of a ball and can be split into two parts. The stage property is however too big for Alcazar to carry on their summer tour. Therefore they invite others to spread the message of disco by buying the biggest divided disco ball ever. Alcazar used the disco ball for the very first time in the first semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2005 in Göteborg. Via the second chance round Alcazar secured themselves of a spot in the final, in which the song Alcastar finished third.
