Latvian junior finalists announced

Out of 44 submitted songs, 10 songs have been selected to take part in the Latvian national selection for the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Broadcaster LTV today announced song titles and the names of the finalists.

These are the ten finalists in Latvia:

1. Kristine Brjazgunova – Karnevāls (Carnival)

3. Kristiana Stirane – Lielais baltais draugs (My big white friend)

4. Sabine Berezina – Reiz kādā pilsētā (Once upon a time in a city)
From Islice

5. Daniels Groza & Monta Belinska – Es esmu maza, jauka meitene (I'm a little lovely girl) From Smiltene

6. Evita Grzibovska – Lidojums sapnī (A flight in a dream)
From Daugavpils

7. Ilze Ozolina – Nāciet visi man līdzi (Everybody come with me)
From Jekabpils

8. Ieva Sutugova – Nāc līdz! (Come with me)
From Dobele

9. Laura Grigorjeva – Bam, bam, bam (Bam, bam, bam)
From Riga

10. Madara Gregere – Viss notiksies! (Everything will happen!)
From Ventspils

* Arturs Toms Pless from Bauska is the backup entry with the song Tālu projām (Far away).

The Latvian national final takes place on 17th September in Ventspils, which also is the location for the national Eurovision Song Contest selections Eirodziesma. Last year, the Latvian representatives Martins and his friends from C-Stones Juniors ended shared last with only 3 points.
