On the Israeli website Eurovil you can watch again the 1999 contest. This was the last time the contest was held in Israel, in the Congress Centre in Jerusalem. The contest was staged there as a result of the victory of Dana International who won with Diva the previous year.
Presented by Yigal Ravid, Dafna Dekel and Sigal Shachmon on the 29th May, 1999. Twenty three countries participated in the final.
The contest was won for the fourth time by Sweden, with Charlotte Nillsson and her song Take me to your heaven, who narrowly beat Selma from Iceland into second place with All out of luck.
