Malene Mortensen is to sing at Pizza Express Live Jazz Club in Soho, London.

The singer will be promoting her sixth album, You go to my head. The album was released last summer on the Danish Callibrated Music label. It contains songs written by Malene and her guitarist, Calle Mörner Ringström, as well as jazz standards like the title track, My shining hour and Misty.

Malene won Dansk Melodi Grand prix 2002 with the song Vis mig hvem du er.  She performed the song in English at that year’s Eurovision Song Contest under the title Tell me who you are. She received seven points and came in the 24th and last position. Since then, she has focused mainly on jazz music, and has released six albums in Europe.

The Pizza Express Live Jazz Club in Soho is a pizza restaurant where diners can listen to live music while they eat. It is a popular London venue and over the years diners have heard performances from the likes of Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Jamie Cullum and Amy Winehouse.

Malene Mortensen will appear at the Pizza Express Live Jazz Club, 10 Dean Street, at 8pm, Sunday 17 March. Tickets are priced at £15.
