Esctoday.com has learned that HRT, the Croatian national broadcaster is planning to announce the names of their 2013 Eurovision representatives next week.  The 2013 Croatian Eurovision entry will be revealed during a special  press conference scheduled to be held by mid February. The exact date will be disclosed in due course.

Who will be the lucky artists who will form the special band or Klapa that will represent Croatia at the forthcoming Eurovisio  Song Contest? We can reveal that the artists selected to form this special ensemble are both well acclaimed and recognized in their musical genre.

HRT, the Croatian national broadcaster  confirmed to esctoday.com last January  that a special  HRT jury selected the 2013 Croatian entry, titled Mizerija ( Misery or Sadness). The song is composed by Goran Topolovac, who hails from Duga Resa. HRT have also selected a reserve song titled Cili svit za bili cvi.  The names of the Croatian representatives are yet to be revealed.

Croatia debuted at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest with Put’s Don’t ever cry. The country is yet to win the contest and their best placing at Europe’s favourite television show was in 1996 with Majda Blagdan and in 1999 with Doris Dragovic, achieving a 4th placing.
