The eccentric king of electronic music Sébastien Tellier, who represented France with Divine at the Eurovision Song Contest held in Belgrade in 2008, was voted the Best Musician of the year by GQ magazine.

With his latest album My God is Blue, Sébastien Tellier gave a spiritual and psychedelic dimension to his work which has been acclaimed by the critics for its originality. Critics are also unanimous when referring to the quality of the concerts of Tellier. After a successful and sold-out European and international tour in 2012, Sébastien Tellier will be back in France for a few more performances in March before giving an already sold-out concert at the Olympia music hall in Paris in April (check out our event section for more details).

The French electro artist is often regarded as one of the best live acts in Europe and, when asked about his latest album in which he impersonates a sort of a religious guru, Sébastien Tellier usually answers the following: “Don’t listen to my album; listen to my message. Enter into vibration with my music. Let’s merge our dreams, together spreading this communal energy in an immense blue wave that will wash over the world – and truth will emerge.”

Sébastien Tellier, whose album is now out in Canada as well, also announced he will soon become a father. The artist is married to Amandine de la Richardière, a DJ. The lovers got married in 2010 and renewed their wedding vows twice already, first during a voodoo ceremony held in Benin, Africa and later in Lake Como, Italy, on the occasion of a religious ceremony in May last year.
