Selma Björnsdóttir saw for Iceland's top ranking in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1999 she finished second with the song All out of luck. This year Selma will be trying her luck for the second time. With the song If I had your love Selma will be taking part in the semifinal of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. Esctoday.com had an interview with the Icelandic representative for Kyiv.

Selma, it will be your second time at the Eurovision Song Contest. Did you enjoy it that much in 1999 that you wanted to experience it all once again?

Actually, yes! The week in Jerusalem is simply unforgettable. Also I don't get offers every day to sing in front of all of Europe so it's a brilliant opportunity and an adventure.

You finished second with All out of luck. Did you ever feel disappointed?

I was very pleased with the second place in the Eurovision Song Contest. Of course I would have liked to win but second is the best result for Iceland so far so I'm proud of that. The Eurovision Eurovision Song Contest did a lot for my career, both in Iceland and elsewhere. I had a best selling cd that year and got to travel to several countries in Europe and perform. That was fantastic. Also I got alot of exciting offers as an actress.
