Mandinga, the Latin influenced group that represented Romania in Baku last year, has launched the band in North & Central America, as well as the Caribbean, after their successful participation at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Last week they visited Cuba and attended to a special event in order to present the band to Cuban fans. Mandinga also made an appearance in one the biggest TV stations in the island and premiered their Eurovision entry, Zaleilah.

It’s great to see that music is truly an international language. We are happy to bring our music and shows in North & Central America, says Elena Ionescu, lead vocalist of the group. We hope that more and more people will feel the positive vibe that Mandinga brings, she says after Zaleilah has started to give airplay in Latin-American radio stations.

During their visit to the Caribbean Island, the band has the chance to meet the Romanian ambassador in Cuba and also celebrated the birthday of El Niño, one of the two Cuban members of the band.

Mandinga represented Romania last year at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku finishing 12th in the grand final.
