Moldova is participating in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time. The band Zdob si Zub will be representing the country. On 26th February they won the Moldovan national final. Can you shortly introduce the esctoday.com visitors to Zdob si Zdub?

Zdob si Zdub is a band of Moldavian sportive dance, this is a positive formula of life perception. This is a cocktail of styles of totally different music, different directions. The band consists of 6 persons: the winds section – trumpet and trombone, also guitar, bass-guitar, drums, vocals plus national Moldavian instruments. Music unites us.

How did you end up in the Moldovan national final?

The National Television invited our managers and proposed the band to participate in the pre-selection tour. We decided that if we don't participate, then people from Moldova won't understand us, because we are the musical visit card of Moldova. This is how it started� After that, everything was very interesting, just like Olympics.
