Heilsarmee, the 2013 Swiss Eurovision representatives have confirmed their participation at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Esctoday.com has learned that the Swiss representatives will comply with EBU rules and regulations and  thus change their name and adjust their uniforms in accordance to the Eurovision Song Contest requirements. As esctoday.com  reported earlier this week a special committee from the Salvation Army had a meeting in order to study the case and make a decision on their Eurovision participation.

In a special press release today Heilsarmee have announced that they will change their name and adjust their uniforms in order to fly the Swiss flag in Malmö next May. They will submit the concept with a new name and proposal to SRF, the Swiss national broadcaster in the coming days. It is most likely the band will opt for an English name.

Heilsarmee won the right to represent Switzerland at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest last December when they triumphed at the 2013 Swiss Eurovision national final with the song You and me.
