HRT, the Croatian national broadcaster has confirmed to esctoday.com that a special  HRT jury has selected the 2013 Croatian entry titled Mizerija ( Misery or Sadness). The song is composed by Goran Topolovac, who hails from Duga Resa.

Esctoday.com has learned that the song is currently in a demo version, hence the Croatian broadcaster is currently working on  composing an ensemle of artists (KLAPA) to perform the entry. HRT is working round the clock in order to come up with the best formula for Malmö . The Croatian broadcaster will reveal more details in due course.

HRT has also informed esctoday.com that they have also selected a reserve song titled Cili svit za bili cvi.

Croatia debuted at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest with Put’s Don’t ever cry. The country is yet to win the contest and their best placing at Europe’s favourite television show was in 1996 with Majda Blagdan and in 1999 with Doris Dragovic, achieving a 4th placing.
