The petition demanding Lithuanian broadcaster LRT to organise a new vote for the Lithuanian national final has been turned down. Half of the finalists claimed that the televoting held during the final failed and that many viewers complained that they were not able to cast their vote.

The petition had been submitted by Alanas Chonau, Česlovas Gabalis, Eva, Raigardas Tomkus, Violeta Riaubikytė, Artūras Pitkauskas, Silvija Kairienė, Laurynas arkinas, Rimantas Jusčius, Aleksandras Bielkinas and Rasa Kauiūtė. All of them participated in the final of this year's Lithuanian Eurovision Song Contest selections.

LRT's General Director Kęstutis Petrauskis has now informed them that their protest has been turned down. “When we analysed your claims about results, we can not say that the results of the national final are not correct or not objective. There is no need not to accept the results, to void them, or to organise a new vote,” stated the letter send to the singers concerned.

Lithuanian broadcaster LRT also informed the European Broadcasting Union, who agreed on LRT's decision. At the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, Lithuania will be represented by Laura & The Lovers with the song Little by little.
