Belgium's French speaking broadcaster RTBF has revealed the titles of the two songs to compete for representing Belgium at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. On 20th March, Nuno Resende will sing the song Le grand soir. Tiffany Ciely goes for a mix of English and French with the song Lost paradise.

As we earlier informed, RTBF could not make an internal decision on which song to send to Kiev. Therefore Nuno Resende and Tiffany Ciely will compete for representing Belgium in a final on 20th March. The audience will decide by televoting.

In a show to be broadcast on La1 at 20:45 CET, hosted by Jean-Pierre Hautier and Jean-Louis Lahaye, both finalists will perform their song. Nuno Resende, a 31 year-old guy born in Portugal, will sing the song Le grand soir (The big night), a song composed by Alec Mansion. Mansion composed the Luxembourgian entry Amour amour, performed by Belgian singer Plastic Bertrand in 1987.

Tiffany Ciely, a 17 year-old girl from Brussels, will sing the self-written song Lost paradise in a mix of English and French. As you may have remarked, Tiffany dropped the 'p' and Cieply became Ciely.

Both songs will be released by EMI Belgium on 21st March, the day after the final. One of the special guests in the show that will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest is Fud Leclercq, the first ever Belgian Eurovision Song Contest representative.
