Sweden: Sanne Salomonsen qualified for final

The second heat of the Swedish Melodifestivalen has taken place tonight in the city of Linköping. Danish rockveteran Sanne Salomonsen (pictured) and Fredrik Kempe & Sanna Nielsen have qualified for the final, while Cameron Cartio and Josefin Nilsson proceed to the second chance round and still have the possibility to reach the final.

Televoting decided which five songs would proceed to the second voting round. Then the lines were opened again for a second televoting round.

Hosts tonight were the Swedish comedians Henrik Schyffert and Erik Haag. The Olsen Brothers, Danish winners of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 entertained in one of the interval acts. They sang their entry Little yellow radio from last week’s Danish national final.

The next semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2005 takes place next Saturday, on 26th February, in Skellefteå. The second chance round takes place on 6th of March. The final take place on 12th March in Stockholm's Globen Arena.
