BTRC, the Belarusian national broadcaster has informed Esctoday.com that the 2013 Belarusian Eurovision national final will be held  7 December. The semi-finals are scheduled to be held next month, the dates of the semi-finals are yet to be confirmed.  Meanwhile the broadcaster is still receiving applications. The deadline for artists to submit their applications is 22 October.

The selection will consist of 3 stages: a qualifying round, semi-finals scheduled to be held in November, and the grand final scheduled to be held on the 7th of December.

Ms Olga Schlager will be the head of the 2013 Belarusian national selection project. The 2 semi-finals and grand final will be televised live on Belarus 1 TV channel.

Artists, singers, composers and authors can send in their applications to BTRC by mail to: BTRC, 220807 Minsk, ul Makaenka 9. The deadline for submission is 22 October. Hence a special panel of jury members will select and evaluate all applications and will announce the names of the 15 finalists 31 October. The 2 semi-finals will be held in November, whilst the grand final will be held on 7 December.  The winner of the 2013 Belarussian Eurovision national final will be determined by a jury/ televoting deliberation.

Belarus debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best placing was in 2007 with Koldun’s Work your magic.
