According to Xabatnet.com, the Spanish national final will be organised on Friday 4th March. Earlier, TVE had planned for a semifinal and a final, but in the end the Spanish broadcaster cancelled those plans.
TVE accepts well-known as well as new artists to compete in this year's selection process. Record companies have been invited to submit a full package including song and singer for the Spanish Eurovision Song Contest selections. Today, the submission period closes.
Next week the singers and authors of the songs that have been selected will be informed about their upcoming participation in the Spanish national final. As Xabatnet.com reports today, this one will take place on Friday 4th March.
Spain is directly qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, taking place on 21st May in Kiev.
