There will be no possibility of double Eurovision glory for the Harrington family this year, as Ann Harrington, the niece of 1994 Eurovision Song Contest winner Paul Harrington, became the latest artist to be voted off Ireland's You're A Star.

On Sunday night in the Mahoney Hall at the Helix, the seven remaining acts had a “Summer Theme” to their songs.

The Henry Girls sang Soak Up The Sun which was a Cheryl Crow song. Last week's poll winner Peter Fagan sang the Bill Withers hit Lovely Day.

Aine O'Doherty sang Hayday by Mic Christopher, while Lorraine Maher gave the audience July by Mundy.

The Beach Boys hit Everybody's Going Surfing was given a rendition by the group Jade, and Donna and Joseph McCaul performed The Temptations hit My Girl.

However it was Ann Harrington's rendition of the Madonna hit Holiday, which failed to impress the viewing public, and having narrowly survived last weeks elimination, she was voted off this week. This leaves six acts now to progress forward to next weeks heat.

The judges, Barbara Galavan, Dave Fanning and Hazel Kaneswaran were on hand to give their comments and opinions, and were joined this week by Ireland's leading Eurovision authority, Bill Hughes.

Whoever wins through will represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest semi final on the 19th May in Kiev.
